Just over a week ago, our new album After All The Party Years was released. We’re overwhelmed by the amazing reviews it has received. So far, not a single rating below four stars! Thank you all for this fantastic reception. If you’d like to read these glowing reviews, you can find them on our website.
Well worth the wait
"The Yearlings prove to be just as relevant after 23 years as they were in 2002, turning this matinee into a glowing celebration. The gentlemen solemnly promise that it won’t take another seven years before they come up with a new album. We’ll see. Some things simply get better with time and turn out to be well worth the wait." At least that’s what VPRO’s 3voor12 wrote about our album release show (Ekko, 26 January). Read the review!
First shows
So far, we’ve played two live shows: our album release party at Ekko and a show at Mezz Breda yesterday. Our hometown show was, of course, special, with so many familiar faces in the crowd – and a sold-out venue always adds to the nerves. But we absolutely loved it!
Last night in Breda was a different story: a crowd that probably didn’t know us very well, and we had to win them over. And without wanting to brag – we think we did a pretty good job, judging by the enthusiasm during and after the show. A warm welcome for The Yearlings. Thank you!
